I do not need to allow a third party to access twitter via me (using oauth), I just want to query twitter for some information that I will consume.

I want to display a list showing about 1500 twitter users ordered by the number of followers each user has.

I want to perform the linq query on this page, but am not sure what I need to do as far as authentication....

Hi Robert,

Some API's require authentication and others don't.  The Twitter docs describe which do or don't.  This should be includedd in the L2T docs too, but until then, you can look here:

For the API's that don't require authentication, just use:

var twitterCtx = new TwitterContext();

However, all other API calls must use OAuth.  Twitter deprecated basic auth a few months ago.  There's an XAuth authentication that Twitter supports, and L2T will support that, but it isn't in place yet.
