Capturing media in the Status Entities

Aug 24, 2011 at 11:45 PM

Does LinqToTwitter capture the media entity type in the entities node of the Twitter Status?

I can't find media defined under Status.Entities

Thanks,

M

Hi,

I need to add that. Thanks for letting me know.

I can work on it. How can I get access to the source depot?

That would be great. I added you as a developer to source control.  There are instructions on the Source page on how to connect.

Thanks,

Hi Mohamed,

A friendly reminder – be sure to do a “Get Latest” before checking in any code. There have been extensive changes in LINQ to Twitter.

Thanks,

Joe

Hey guys,

I've followed the links above and cannot seem to find where I can get the media that belongs to a status when querying the home timeline. Is this available?

Hi,

Look at the Entities collection property for MediaMentions or UrlMentions.  If someone does a TweetWithMedia (aka Twitter update_with_media), then I believe it appears as a MediaMention. However, if someone links to an image to a Twitter media partner, Twitter will display the image with the tweet, but I don't recall if the URL is a MediaMention or UrlMention.
