Posting on behalf of a user.

I was using Twitterizer with the Twitter API 1 and it was recently shut of by Twitter. I am now using LinqToTwitter to post using 1.1 and am having trouble. I'm using Asp.net/VB and .Net 4.0. With Twitterizer I would simply allow my web user to authenticate one time, store their Twitter Token and Secret and use that Token and Secret to post future updates on behalf of that user. Could someone please let me know if there is a demo to show how this is done with Linq2Twitter and the new API?

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

There's a CredentialsToStringAndLoad demo on the Samples page. Essentially, you authorize, pull credentials from the Credentials of your authorizer, save the credentials, and then reuse the credentials on subsequent calls. Credentials are available after the call to CompleteAuthorization.

Ok thanks, and how do I tweet a status with those credentials for the user?

There are VB examples in the LinqToTwitterDemoVB project in the downloadable source code.
