"Authorize an application" and WIndows Form Application

Hi,

We are developing a VB.NET Windows application, it used to download twwets via the old API and XML. Now we need to connect to the new API and authenticate.

Have downloaded samples and can see how we can search for tweets. The only issue is that the "Authorize an application" screen pops up and the PIN is required before interrogating Twitter. Ideally we do not want this screen to appear, or once only, if possible.

Is there a way of achieving this? Regards Hutton.

Hi Hutton,

You might try SingleUserAuthorizer.

Alternatively, PinAuthorizer will also let you bypass the authorization process if you supply all 4 credentials. You can get the credentials by setting a breakpoint in the code after authorization completes, running the app one time, authorizing, and then pulling the credentials from the Credentials property of the authorizer instance. Then save those credentials and reuse them on subsequent queries.
