invalid coordinates using GeoType.Reverse

Feb 10, 2014 at 11:21 AM

trying to use the example:

var geoResponse =
            from g in twitter.Geo
            where g.Type == GeoType.Reverse &&
                  g.Latitude == 37.78215 &&
                  g.Longitude == -122.40060
            select g;
            var a = geoResponse.SingleOrDefault();
returns "Invalid Coordinates".
Tested with a real post with coordinates and I get the same error.

Can anyone help me?
Thank you.

Hi Frederico,

What are your culture settings? I've had some difficulty with numbers and i18n. Wondering if it would work if you used 37,78215 and -122,40060? I don't know if that makes sense for coordinates.

Hi Joe,

I'm in Portugal and yes, that worked!

just added some culture settings information:
CultureInfo.DefaultThreadCurrentCulture = new CultureInfo("en-US");

and it works just fine now.
Thank you for your help.

Thanks for confirming that - helps me reproduce the problem. I made this a work-order so I can take a closer look at the situation.
