LINQ to Twitter
is a Language Integrated Query (LINQ) provider for the Twitter
This release adds features for Search, Friendship, Social Graphs, Accounts, Favorites, Notifications, Blocks, and Help. It also adds Status Mentions and allows 3rd parties to include their own User Agent header information. One change that will affect code written for previous versions is that side-effect methods now return a single result, rather than an IQueryable, which makes it easier to use the API.
Here's an example of the Search feature, which was a popular request:
var queryResults =
from search in twitterCtx.Search
where search.Type == SearchType.Search &&
search.Query == "LINQ to Twitter"
As reflected in the version # and the number of API's implemented, this project is getting closer to a v1.0 release. There are 2 more APIs to implement, Trends and OAuth, and a couple other issues left. Please report any bugs you might find and feedback is always welcome.Joe
