Newbie question

I'm trying to submit status messages from a console application (basically it's a NUnit test).
I'm using the SingleUserAuthorizer for the authentication.

I perform the Authorize(), everything is ok - the AuthorisedClient.IsAuthorised property in the tweeter context is true.

I'm trying to read the statuses with (twitterCtx.Status.Where(tweet => tweet.Type == StatusType.User && tweet.ScreenName == "MyScreenName")).ToList(); - everything is OK, I can retrieve the statuses.

I'm trying to add a new status message with var newTweet = twitterCtx.UpdateStatus("Current timestamp: " + DateTime.Now); and I receive a 401 error.

Initially I believed there is a dev.twitter settings problem: on the OAuth tool, in the Request settings área, there was checked the Get request type, and the twitterCtx.UpdateStatus makes a post, so I have checked the Post request type insteab, but I still receive the 401.

Has anyone experienced the same problem ?

Hi,

401 is common when first setting up and can have many types of causes. The LINQ to Twitter FAQ has several items to check.
